I usually stay at Ingleside. There are a few good hotels there. Definately stay away from America's Best- that is one nasty dump.

Try Drifters RV park. They have cabins and very safe. A few rv parks I stayed at-- Ransom Road RV, ICW rv, Redfishbay RV. you can throw a tent anywhere between AP and PA along 361 free and offers direct access. This area fishes good in the winter months as there is lots of deep and skinny H20. I will be there Feb-Mar. flingin flys. Good luck

I think you are talking about Goose Island State Park. You turn at the Exxon just before the bridge over Copano Bay. This is a good suggestion, since you can camp, and they have a great boat ramp. A lot of the Rockport Guides leave from that ramp. This puts you in area that you can fish St. Charles Bay, Copano Bay, Carlos Bay or Aransas Bay. One problem, you need to know where you're going, each has some mean shell reefs that are hard to spot. Especially St. Charles Bay! Good Luck!

Best western in Fulton clean cheap and has boat parking and near the Copano Boat Ramp. use your Navionics Charts + GPS, go slow and watch for shallow underwater reefs. Set a good clear trail and then u can come back safe.

Set a good clear trail and then u can come back safe. as long as you are in deeper or equal depth tides.
I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!

depends on how much you want to spend. we always rented a house on a canal using Calm Harbor real estate. The homes are usualy located inside Palm Harbor Estates..

The Lighthouse Inn is my favorite place to stay and if you go out with one of their guides you get a discounted rate.

Guides are Bret Hopkins of Ace in the hole GS and another guy named Terry C. If you're speaking of guides that get discounted rates at the Lighthouse Inn, they have about 50 guides that get discounts there. Lighthouse Inn at Aransas Bay The Lighthouse also has a nice complimentary hot breakfast. Plain scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with ham/cheese, sausage (at times bacon), hash browns, Texas shaped Belgium waffles, and other things. Also a pier with under water lights.
