Thanks Mark. I know about them but everything I hear is bad. Can you enlighten me further? I think some bunghole got on here and bad mouthed them a few years ago, and I too thought they might be a place to stay away from. But from knowing Mark and others guys that I know and respect who only say good things about them, I would have no problems taking my TM to them. I have seen many posts on here over the last few years and I have only seen people praising Boris....

Thank you everybody. Boris it is. I got my info from business reviews that were posted, and the responses were not about the work but speed of service and lack of communications. It appears, as usual, that only those few that had a bad experience decided to post reviews. Thank you for providing the other side.
Yes Okie, that was me. Slow day. Only 2 fish. One was a 7 though. (Yes I have a picture.)
Happy New Year and may your livewells have limits in them consistently.

I don't think you will have a problem with speed of service this time of year. Don is hurting business. I have never had a problem with Don. Good guy.
From what I have heard there are not too many choices for trolling motor service in the Fort Worth area. That's why he got in the business in the first place.

The last time I went to Southwest in Dallas the new repair guy said he would work on a MG but was only an authorized MK service center as he had too many problems getting MG parts. I have taken my MG's and a MK to Boris and they've always done me right. I took my MG by Southwest and was going to use them only because I was going that way and I work in Dallas, and that there was a new guy doing the repairs and it was 15 miles the other way from my home to Boris in Azle. After talking with the new guy I went the distance back to Boris and they did me right as usual. The old guy (Bob)who used to run the repair section at Southwest once lost a trolling mtr. I left with him. He never called me to tell me it was ready and by the time I called him he said he couldn't find it. I had the ticket and took it in and we looked all over his shop but couldn't find it. He basically said "sorry, you're s.o.l. it's gone". He had no record of it. I asked him where his records were kept and he wouldn't or couldn't tell me. I asked him why he didn't call me when it was ready and he said they never call that he expected the customer to call him to inquire as to the repair status. I asked them for some remuneration and he about laughed as he said since he had no record of it he couldn't do anything. What a crock! I had a numbered repair tag, of which 1/2 should of been tied on the mtr. and was put there when I took it in. I said what a way to do business in words that shouldn't be put on these pages. He retired or died shortly thereafter and I was out a trolling motor. Thank goodness for the first and thank goodness it was an old mtr. that I used as a back-up. Never been back there for a mtr. repair and have found someone else for rod and reel repairs too. True story.

Boris Marine. I have been using them for over 25 years without a problem fast reliable service.
One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!
