Anyone had experience with BPS xps line streching on attemped hook sets Bought new reel and had them put 14 # test xps on reel . Just seems to strech to me ..

I been using 12 and 14lb Excell for years, I never noticed the stretch problem...

I use the excel 17 lb. test. It does have quite a bit more stretch than some other lines. I don't notice it so much on hook sets as I do when I'm hung up trying to pull my bait loose. It is very strong though.

Even the best mono has a lot of stretch. Jeff Kirkwood demonstrated this to us in one of his Bassin classes. It really suprised me.

Excel mono line does have a good bit of stretch. Don't know about 12,14# etc. but I have used 4 and 8 lb. for years and found it to be a strong and reliable line.

I use Excel 10# mono.I do not notice any more stretch than other line.

I've used many different lines in my years of fishing and found BPS Excel to be the best value for the money. All monos will have stretch and I didn't notice Excel stretching any more than the others and I had fewer breakoffs. I use 12# to 20#.
