Does anybody know if there are still some of these rods aound that are not used?
If so, what is a fair price?
All I have heard is negative comments on the ones made overseas, but Academy has many of them marked down to $39.99.
Thank you!

Interested in either, but mainly on the lighter side as most of my fishing is in the bay or bass and crappie fishing.

I have seen some still in Academy. Just check under the word AllStar on the rod. It'll say Houston, TX there. As a matter of fact, all the spinning rods I saw were light or extra light power and the casters were all med heavy or heavy. I am in the Houston area.

I live in Houston and i can tell you the ALL STAR rods find in ACADEMY are made in CHINA (not the same quality like ALL STAR rods made in HOUSTON before SHAKESPEARE bought ALL STAR).
