I have a 94' Johnson 88hp. one of my spark plug wires broke and I wanted to know if the spark plug wires are designed just for this motor or can I just by some spark plug wires for cars.

I will recommend that you get some dielectric grease & use it on the plugs. It will help keep good contact.
