Go see Mike Halfmann in San Marcos at the Boat shop he has at his house, he can fix you right up if anyone can!
Keep your powder dry & don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!!

One more question Guys?
I have plans on putting this motor on a 15' bass boat older model like a 78 i believe, Will this 40hp be big enough for it and someone said something about about not getting it to plane? What exactly is that in refrence too? I figure if any would know you guys could tell me.
Thanks....

Getting on plane is when the bow(front end) of the boat levels out at a certain speed(that's a simplistic explanation but is basically what it is). As far as it being big enough, yes it will. My dad has a 1980 15' Terry bass boat with a 35hp motor and it will get on plane with 3 full size men in it. However it only did that once I added a hydrofoil(fins) on the motor. If the motor was a 40hp(assuming the one you have is running well), it should get on plane just fine.

You can do it. Two things you'll need: 1> A shop manual, and b> iboats good luck!
