The campground on 155 in Ledbetter is what I have been using, launching a 19 foot Stratos. It is tricky getting the trailer level but usable if you are careful. Everyone else that I talk to is launching from the villages. I think it's easier to get through the inlet there now that the lake is up a tad. I have heard if you have 4 wheel drive you can use the dam ramp on the single side.

villages is your safest bet, but be careful going out. I would not be using any other ramp.

Depends on what area you fishin.........
It's the Villages or the Ledbetter ramp (STEEP)..........
Lots of stumps just below surface since lake came up 1 foot

I have a tournament there in a couple of months and have never been there. Where would the safest place be to start learning the lake?

Read on another forum that the dam ramp is being fixed right now. Not sure when it will be ready for use.

safest would be the villages, turning south, just avoid getting too close to the points, and watch out for the stumps on the west side as you exit.
If the dam ramp is fixed, its a smooth drive from there for quite a ways, just be careful out there

They were workin on dam ramp yesterday...I never quit putting my 21 foot champ in there, but I have 4wd. It should be finished today, and I put in there yesterday on the double ramp side for the first time in 4 months. I have been using the single side...

On Lake P.....ALL serious there are stumps that will get you if you have no lake knowledge, follow someone, there is lots of open water to run but its easy to be fooled also
I have been fishing here since 83' and I have seen things this year I never knew were there.
