Tom is a PB machine! We went out Tuesday and sorelipped a few Blues. Before yesterday my PB was 16.32 Now its 47.00! Didn't have digital scales with us so we rounded on the lower end. Caught several eaters and a few teenagers but the good ones were-- 47lbs 40lbs 26lbs 22lbs I caught the 26 first and 22 next then the 40 and last the 47. (I think we were in Larry's spot when I got the 40 and 47, so don't tell Larry about this thread) Best fishing day for me ever!

The 47 was almost a "lost a good one at the boat" story. Tom was warning me not to "horse her in" so I calmed down and played her out, when we got her in this what we saw.  If I had not let her take drag and tire out I think this hook would have pulled out. (Thanks again Tom) All fish were caught deep 40ft plus on Shad. Some sprayed with dead red. Tawak has spoiled me!

Hey Tom, do you have to burp those cats that you have been catching lately, or do you have to when you catch them deep? Just wondering, I would like to know, I've never caught one that big, and when I do, I just want to do whats right. Thanks.

Congrates on the pb's. This picture is from that 72.2 pounder caught a couple weeks ago. Good thing i netted it first try.

Thanks. if their belly is tight i don't hesitate to burp them shallow or deep .then get them back in the water ASAP .better to be safe, than lose a fish and be sorry !
