At the corner of Alsbury and I-35W the restaurant beside McDonalds is being remodeled into "Pier 35". It is a sister restaurant of "Catfish and Company" in Hurst. They should open in Mid-January.
The menu will be similar to "Catfish and Company" with a few new items added in.
If you've eaten at "C&C" let us know what we should expect at Pier 35.

Catfish & Company in Hurst is very good eats! Great hushpuppies too! Is is better than Hook, Line & Sinker on Lemmon and McKinney?

It's now open.
Went there last night. Nicely decorated and open setting. We had three different entrees. Hush Puppies ~~ hot but dense. Doughy tasting. Seemed almost under cooked. Catfish fillets ~~ long thin but very tasty. Cole slaw ~~ excellent Grilled talipia ~~ great Bacon wrapped shrimp ~~ Only six medium sized shrimp. Expensive for the size and quantity. Baked potato ~~ very over done Green tomato relish ~~ very good Overall a 7 out of 10 rating. Will definitely go back.

Went by Pier 35 this afternoon and thought it was very good. Had the fried catfish/shrimp combo - catfish was tasty and the butterfly shrimp was even better. Very large shrimp with a crunchy breading - some of the biggest and best I've had in a while. I'll definitely go back.
Hush Puppies - The wife and I both liked them. Cole Slaw - Excellent Fries - standard frozen variety - they were just OK The cocktail sauce and tartar sauce were both excellent Price - Not cheap but prices were reasonable
