Glad to hear it went well. I just wish Minn Kota had thought about the mounting of this TM a little more. If you don't mind how much did the bracket cost you? I had my father in law's shop make mine and got the family discount of free but was wanting to "repay" in some other way.
I first had this mounted on my older ranger and never liked the mounting so when I bought a new ranger this year I had to come up with something as I didn't want to regret the installation/purchase any longer.

Money well spent, that looks good. My brackets ran me $316.

We have the 101 lb terrova with ipilot on a Nitro Z8. The extra overhang is a problem when launching the boat. We have to literally lift the front of the boat every time we launch it so the trolling motor bracket doesnt hit the front roller. We have tried keeping the trailer shallow and using the motor to slide off the boards and it still wont clear the roller. The overhang on our mount is no more than any of the units pictured above. It came to a head this weekend while fishing a winter series tournament the trailer rails had ice on them and I slipped and stepped off in the water while lifting the boat off the trailer. Darn cold to say the least. Please help! any suggestions appreciated.

RSRLures...that's his screen name on here, has developed a slide mount for the Terrova's that he installed for me a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, I had a wreck (guy him my boat while trailering it home) and is in the shop waiting for insurance to get it repaired. But, the mount looks to me like it cures all your problems. AND, once installed, you slide the MK back out of the way of your trailer. It has built in stops to keep it from sliding too far either direction and I don't see any problem with the Terrova deploying while the boat is in motion if properly stowed. In fact, MK will replace the shaft anytime if it breaks, regardless of the reason or when it happens! Contact Philip at RSR Lures in Duncanville if you are interested in this mount.
