I have a 74# thrust Minn Kota Riiptide 3X. Twice before I've had problems with the gearing for the 3X part. I would go to turn it and nothing would happen at all. I took it back in to Travis Boats both times and 2 weeks later I would get it back, supposedly fixed. This time ,a couple weeks ago, I went to turn and I felt a small snap. Now it kind of turns 1for 1 instead of 3 for 1 but you can't really tell what direction it's pointed in without looking over the bow because now the directional arrow is also messed up. It's still under warranty but wow, I feel like they ought to prorate me a new one or something because of the ongoing problems with this one. Travis Boats is not a warranty facility for Minn Kota. It is a Minn Kota Warranty issue so take it to:

Thanks John, Both times before I just trailered the boat over to Travis. They took the motor off and sent it to Allstar electronics over in Dallas. I think that was the name. This time I,m going to attempt taking it off myself and carry it over to Boris in Ft. Worth. Maybe I'll get it back sooner too.

Bob Ridgeway always gets my MinnKota trolling motor's back to me in a week. Quicker if I ask.

I have tried using AllStar one time and after, My personal experience with All star (involved 4 Dallas police officers, so I wouldn't reach across the counter and squeeze their necks until their heads popped off), I wouldn't recommend them.

Isn't Travis over in Lewisville? I believe they could have taken the motor over to the Allstar facility in Lewisville.
