I have been repairing Abu BCX reels for a few years and im calling it quits!Due to a parts shortage and several quality issues that can't be overcome it's time to quit doing repairs on all Abu BCX reels.I have a box of these reels on my bench right now that will cost me money to repair and return to my customer due to parts issues and slow turn around.I appologize to all for this decision as im sure there are several BCX owners needing reel service.Thanks Jim.

sounds like it is time to pass mine down to my son and go buy me a PA reel, ive been wanting one for awhile so now all i have to do is show my wife this thread and this will hopefully convince her to let me spend the money and get one (or two)

caribou you are probably right she would say that, so my plan is to take the reel off my rod and clean it real good inside the living room, then i will start an arguement knowing she will throw it at me, at this point i will break into tears telling her it was my favorite reel and they just dont make them anymore so i can only replace it with the closest thing which is a PA reel, think it will work?
