Going to Falcon in February and wondering what I should have in my tackle box? From what I've read last year you could pretty much through a hook out there and catch something. Should I load up more cranks or worms? I've heard and have read alot about Falcon and this will be my first time wink

Baits have not changed in a year. Just where we are fishing is changed. One year ago I was fishing areas that you can't even see anymore because they are WAY up on dry land but we are fishing the same structure with the same baits. Rocky points and drops with wood being a bonus. A deep crank, a big jig and big plastics(worms or flukes) if I only had three rods with me. Only change for me next time down will be a big spinnerbait or chatterbait with a swimbait trailer to cover some spawing areas as they "get in the mood for love". Falcon is more about WHERE than WHAT. Most of the fishermen who don't do well are simply "beating the banks" as they always do. You will catch a few that way but the home run will come when you find that magic rock pile, point or rocky ledge. Enjoy!

Best of luck man.... Feb. Is a great time baring weather issues. As far as baits go save your money and do yourself a favor and stop in at the two tackleshops in town here. Great people and both have tackle that is designed for falcon monsters and both places will point you in the right direction with not only the lures but locations as well. Again best Of luck out there
