Looking for a spot to pull out some big cats on the trinity river in DFW area, any one fish there?

My son and I fish the Trinity on the Fort Worth side. We fish for brim and spotted bass with small spinners and tube jigs, and often we unintentionally get a 1/2 lb. to 2 lb. channel cat! So, they're in there, and we've thought about doing serious catfishing when the season is right, but we haven't yet since you can't eat the fish out of the Trinity (at least not on our side).
