bought 2 of these,will not cast as well as citica 100dsv, any tips for tuning?

Check your brakes. I generally run two on... If they're set, try flushing the bearings or replacing them with some better bearings. All of mine have casted very well straight out of the box.

I had 4 Curado 51E's, and I agree...they stink at distance casting heavier stuff.

Great reel for plastics and 1/4 oz hardbaits though.

I get a lot better distance out of my Curado 101D's than the Curado 51's ever gave.

Not too often that I use those for distance casting say a 1/2 oz trap, but still.

Went thou about 10 at the store and got the best 2 Curado 50's but still had to sent them back after a trip or 2 not smooth at all, no distance either,, went back to 200e's

Flush the spool bearings and reoil very lightly. Shimano's usually come with a light grease on the bearings that really limits casting distance. My 51E is a casting machine. It does really well with light stuff.
