Welcome aboard jbass Quick is on here from time to time
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

LOP Saturday. We caught 42 down toward the dam. There was around 50 boats in the area. The bite was kind of slow but we caught good size fish, 18 to 25 ft with minnows mainly, had to hit several spots to get 40+.
Big crowd at Overlook ramp. Not many ramps on pines still open.
Sorry, no pictures

Ive been running some on Pines lately, the fishing has been steady on each trip producing limits on every trip. I just posted a report about 5 min ago. I hope the bite stays steady since were planning on returning very soon. Best depth was about 25ft.

I just looked up lake o the pines on google, and found this on the tpwd site:
The following special regulation is in effect at this lake: for black crappie and white crappie caught from December 1 through the last day in February, there is no minimum length limit. Daily bag is 25 in any combination of black and white crappie, and all crappie caught must be retained. In other months, crappie are subject to a 10-inch minimum length limit and a daily bag of 25. Statewide regulations apply to all other fishes.
-------- Fish ON!

I have seen them set up with long lenses and take photos of guys tossing fish back, then wait for them at the ramp with digital camera in hand for proof. Never had em waiting for me, but seen em meeting others.
