I talked to a park ranger today and he said they were putting in several new campsites (electric, water, primitive, etc...) New restrooms, improvements at the ramps and yes a gate house. The free access to the ramp was all a part of the plan to get people out to discover the lake and when improvements are complete boaters wouldn't mind paying a few bucks. The project is going to take awhile to complete. Just thought I would pass on the info.

They should charge for the boat ramp, but leave the rest of the park free for the bank anglers who've been fishing it for years, and are now getting buzzed by jet skies and the boaters who ignore the no wake signs lol.

What about getting to the marina? Surely they won't be charging me to get to my boat? Maybe they'll split the road. I'll have to ask the marina manager.

My neighbor told me the other day that the city was having problems with people going back in there and having adult relations;) I think they are getting it more visible some how.
