You guys can laugh at this one all you want but it's some seriously good eating when it's cold outside. My great grandmother came up with this in the 80s when she needed to make lunch for all of the grandkids and great grandkids running around. Way better than a sloppy joe or manwich or any of that mess.
Ingredients: Ground Beef Ranch Style Beans with or with out jalapenos 12oz / lb is fine Small hamburger buns Onion Salt (garlic salt) Pepper Sliced cheese (American is fine but pepperjack is better) Baking sheet
How to:
1) Brown ground beef with chopped onion Season with salt/pepper Preheat oven to 325
2) Drain beef and add ranch style beans, keep on medium heat until beans are heated through.
3) Scoop meat and beans onto half (one side) of the hamburger bun and place on baking sheet. Cover with slice of cheese and repeat.
4) Bake the sheet of beany burgers until cheese is melted and bun starts to toast on the bottom.
5) Get fat and happy!
Caution: Don't use large buns! You want to use the small ones because you don't drain the beans. Big buns = big mess because they will get a bit soggy if you're not careful. Remember this is served open face, there's no top bun!

I use baked beans. Put your baked beans in the refrigerator for overnight so that they "dry out" slightly. The beans will stick together by morning.
Slice off a "slab" of the beans, throw them on top of some butter in the frying pan until they start to darken up.
Butter the toasted bun, add your cheese, the slab of beans, your burger..you have a burger that will stick to your ribs and is very, very tasty.
