Hello fishing fans! December can be a great time to fish any lake and Fork is no different. During the winter months, huge schools of fish move onto deep water structures such as humps, points, and creek bends in 20-30 ft. In this video report you will see how to take advantage of these cold water fish. A dropshot and tailspinner are both productive lures once you have located fish on your electronics. Thank you to my friends, sponsors and customers for a great 2011 fishing season! Please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding the techniques discussed in this video report and Happy Holidays TFF!

On those tailspinners do you do a count down to the depth they are at and slow retrieve or do you just cast and start reeling slow?

Most of the time I will let the bait hit bottom then reel it slowly back to the boat. A slow roll is often the best retrieve. If that does not work well or I see that the fish are suspended a few feet off bottom, I will reel in all of my slack then lift and drop my rod throughout the retrieve. You can count the bait down for suspended bass but I prefer not to since I am usually targeting more active fish relating to the bottom. Hope this helps!

We all stumble and make mistakes. When you stumble, do you want your brother to help knock you down or to help set you back on your feet?
