but if there were bass - what would they be doing right now

I have been out of the country for 2 weeks and have no idea.

They'll be shallow, deep or in transition. Start with your preferred method and move until you find them.

If all else fails, catch some sandies.

I've done OK in winters past pitching a jig, chatterbait or blue fleck power worm into tree tops in 20 - 30 feet of water outside major creeks. They tend to suspend there especially on sunny afternoons. Good luck.

If there were bass in Roberts I would catch them on...
Small cranks w rocks & wood, Pilot point cove 48 degree water
White Sinkos in ceders in Pierce branch 49 d water
Spinner bait 3/4 oz Orange & chartruse skirt & blades 51 d muddy
Flat creek also Lick creek.
Mud bug & manns 20 + 8 to 10 " Islu du bois N of 922.
But you must go to Fork to catch Bass. LOL !

I know someone who went out there with TNT last week and didn`t have a single bass. Although, sandies and crappie were plentiful.

Had 10 fish on Tuesday, nothing bigger then 4lbs but all solid keeper fish. I've got 3 words of advice for ya.

tough tough today for sure. handfull of dinks, but highlight of the day was a chunky 2 1/2 lb kentucky or spot.

Sounds like advice from Roland Martin: Fish with topwater, shallow or deep lures, light or dark colors, natural or exotic patterns.
