I've been trying to get a factory repair manual so I contacted my evinrude dealer, and they looked it up and it wasn't in there computer so they called the factory and they said it's no longer produced. I also contacted an online parts place and they said it's not longer in production. I've looked on E-Bay and i can't find one for my engine. It's a 1990 Evinrude 150 XP modle number E150STLESB.What other years/models could i use as a reference? I need to reseal my lower unit and possibly replace the gears, would an aftermarket book be worth getting for this? thanks for all the help that can be given.

If the aftermarket manual is all you can find, definitely get it. It's better than nothing. I just finished resealing the lower unit of my '73 18 hp Evinrude and used the Seloc manual. It got me through it. Also, if you have a digital camera, use it! Take lots and lots of pictures. I don't care how sharp you think you're memory is, there's now way you can remember exactly where each piece goes and how it goes there. Don't let this scare you off though, it was actually a lot easier than I was expecting. Good luck, and if you have any other questions, let us know.
