I thought you couldn't eat fish caught out of the trinity ?
Is it only the trout you could eat there, surely you wouldn't eat anything else you might catch there ??
Is that white truck the trout truck ..? it looks like he is putting the trout in the downstream side of the rocks everyone is standing on will they stay in that section or go further downstream?
thanks in advance, this is my first time trout fishing here. There are advisories on not eating fish on stretches of the Trinity. "Clear Fork of Trinity River from Benbrook Reservoir dam and West Fork from Lake Worth dam, including main stem of the Trinity downstream to US 287 bridge. Portions of Anderson, Dallas, Ellis, Freestone, Henderson, Kaufman, Navarro and Tarrant counties. Chemicals of Concern: Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), Dioxins
Persons should not consume any species of fish from these waters. "The trout do not stay in the water long enough to absorb the PCB's. Between the fishermen and the Cormorants the fish will be gone in a week. The truck is the trout transport. TRWD buys the trout from the hatchery in Missouri. The stocking was 2200 trout, divided into 4 locations. One fourth of the trout are placed on each side of the dams in trinity park. The trout on the downside of dam #2 are almost surely a loss. They scatter downstream rapidly. But while they are there that is a fishing hot spot.

Went out to Lakeside in D-ville,to day from 11-2 between three of us we managed to put 5 trout on the stringer.Should have had at least nine,(between 3 fisheman) lost the rest at the bank. My buddy thought you had to play them out,I told him the next ones you just get them to bank asap. they were going after in line spinners today, 1-bright pink, 2-white . One trout caught on charteuse power bait. I did manage a nice 11" crappie on a jig I had tied. I was not aware lakeside had crappie in it.

Went to Hurst Chisholm Park after work Thursday. The rain had paused when I was leaving work, and this park is 5mins from work. Got there and 1 other crazy fisherman had caught 1 on rainbow colored powerbait trout nibbles. Since he just caught it I had not choice now and had to get my poles out of the car. From 4:00 to 6pm, I had 2 bites on my real salmon eggs, but never landed them. I also tried my gold super dupper, black fury but nothing on the spinners. The water was very muddy.

Friday afternoon at Greenbrair Park FTW. onsite at 1 to 6pm. The best time was 1:30 to 4pm. 6 people each averaged 4 fish. Most fish decent size, each person seemed to get one over 12" fatty.
The bait of choice seemed to vary, first was small orange power trout worms with a white power egg. The second best was power egg that was a white/red mix. Everyone was fishing off the bottom.
2 fly fisherman had no luck. 3 others with spinners and super duppers also failed.
The best part was how nice all the fisherman were. Everyone talked to each other and if one guy was hot, he would show the others what and how he was rigged. A few of the old timers were giving away orange power worms because they wanted everyone to get a bite. We ended up trading colors and everyone has a nice mix now.

Caught 10+ today at Bethanny today between 4-530. Threw all the small ones back and left when I caught my 5th decent sized trout. Found yellow powerbait, corn and sunflower seeds in their stomachs.
