Has anyone ever used the Hillbilly Haven shuttle service?

They are located 10 miles west of Weatherford. I talked to guy in the oil change waiting room the other day, and he and his son did a day trip. He said it was a blast.

Any input?

That is one of the reasons I was looking at them. Looks like it would only be about an hour drive from Ft Worth.

I found a slightly better website:

Just typed a dang paragraph hit submit and server messed up I'll sum it up. I live close to there and take my family there to play in the summer. Paul the owner is a cool guy. Charged me 5 bucks to launch there this summer. Wife picked me up at the Dennis bridge. Got to drag my yak a lot! This part of the river is low low low. I've meant to ask Paul what he would charge to drop me off up river. I bet it's cheap.

Thanks for the good info. I figured the river would be pretty dang low right now, and probably most of the time. I went over the Dennis Bridge (1189) a few weeks ago and it was real low and I didn't see a good place to park or drive down to the river. I'd like to do the whole stretch between PK and Granbury someday, might have to do it a piece at a time. A couple years ago I called a restaurant/campground down there near where 20 crosses the river about a shuttle and they said no problem, come on down; but ended up going below PK instead. (I always do.)

i live about 2 miles from hillbilly haven. Directly across from HH there is a spot u can pull in under the bridge. lots of parking. Dont know if i would leave my car there or not. When I get bored my boy and I will fish this little hole under the bridge and catch a few. Like I said before, I paddled from the 20 bridge to dennis bridge and there are some nice holes that would be fun to fish but the water level was so low most of the trip it was not so fun. Would be cool to see what gets trapped in those holes. If you ever want to know what the level is here send me a IM and I will run down and check for ya and IM u back. I dont mind at all. I live that close. I agree with you on the stretch between GR and PK. I have been wanting to do that too. I plan on going up to hwy 16 soon. Never fished or paddled there.

Well it sounds like it would be too low to do the stretch near Hillbilly Haven. I've never done any river kayak fishing before. I guess when ever I get a chance I will have to make the trip to PK. Maybe someday there will be some water in the stretch near HH, and I can give it a try too. Thanks for all the info everyone.
