That would be correct Shane.

I think if you could find you a Bay Cat, your search would probably be over. I've rigged a few of them, and they do a lot of things exceptionally well. Ride much better than your typical bay boat, Bluewave, etc, lower profile so the wind doesn't make a kite out of you, and fishes 3-4 people pretty comfortable.

They have the slickest seating setup I've seen with the fold away rear bench seat, and the fold down console so your boat will fit in your garage. Wish I still sold them.

Shane,
Ride in a few CC's before making a decision. I've had several bass bost over the years, and loved them, but bought a 22'Sea Pro CC with a 200 four stroke last year. The most versatile boat I've ever had. Kind of "the best of all worlds"

Shane you have a load of good opinions to digest!! It is great these folks will take time to share their opinions with you. I have been doing what you are doing for about the last 5 years. I am in a 17 ft Express with a 90hp Yam., good boat and motor, never let me down, yet. Metal transmits shock twice as bad as fiberglass, hence the bone crushing shock in a good chop with thin seats. Most Skeeters I have looked at have hairline cracks in the transom and splashwell area(Always scared me). The Rangers and Champions appear to retain their value better than the rest(workmanship). Triton seems to lose their luster fairly quick but are appear good as well. Basscats are loved by all that have them, I have a friend who fishes 1215 area @ Toldeo in a Basscat and he has not been able to destroy it and that is a testament to any boat. Since the advent of good padded seats the jar is taken out of alot of the ride on all models. I have ridden in all and they will all beat you to death in anything over 3 feet if not driven by an experienced driver and if you have to go at a bad angle to get where you are going. More and more Bay Boats are showing up at the T- Bend due to the rough water and their ability to handle rough water. Boat shopping is kind of like picking a wife, some are a match made in heaven, the rest, well, are a little south of there. Good luck
