Anyone have the scoop on the new Hummingbird Matrix 67 combo. It's got 640x320 pixels and loads of capabilities. I found it while looking for a new GPS/fishfinder combo. Now I want to compare it to the Eagle 480 FishElite. Decisions, decisions. Oh, they are almost the same price too. H/B-$449.00+ shipping Eagle $465 shipped.

Any help would be appreciated.

Call me biased, but after using Humminbirds for years I bought a Lowrance sonar/GPS and there's no comparison. For stiper/white bass fishing, I'd never consider buying anything but a Lowrance or Eagle. I fished Monday with a guy who had an Eagle FishElite 480 and same thing - you can't beat it. He's planning to do the same thing I did - buy another Eagle for the front of his boat.

Well after racking my brain, considering all the input and info I recieved, I purchased the Eagle. I almost got the Hummingbird because of the new technology they offer. "Accelerated Real Time Sonar operates at up to 40 times per second to instantly capture the action under the boat." This feature intrigued me. But the Matrix 67 only uses MMC cards, the Eagle uses both MMC and S/D memory cards. So that and the fact you can only use Navonics Gold maps.
