I hit a stump at very slow speed with my 50 hp Evinrude. Now the prop will not rotate & the engine will not turnover. The shifter sems to work fine. Where shoul I start looking? Lower unit?

bscaff--you answered your own question. Sounds like you bent the prop shaft in the lower unit. Take the prop off and turn the shaft if it will turn and see if it wobbles. If it does you will need a new shaft. Hope that is all you hurt.
