Can you believe I have gotten down to what color boat to get? I am getting a 21' Sea Pro with Merc and will spend 95% of the time on fresh water. Bass, crappie, catfish, etc... What in your opinion is the best color for the hull?

White gel coat. Much easier to keep clean, does not show scratches, and is easy to repair if needed.

I saw some research on boat color. The boat originally was some odd ball color. Then he painted the boat so it blended in with the water. With the camo boat his fishing improved, like 50 to 70 per cent.

Seems like there's more with Black bottoms lately...

Looks pretty good w/ certain color schemes, but wouldn't that make the boat lots more visible to the fish below?

Congrats on the boat bigdawg. I think the color is just personal preference. I also have a 21 cc sea pro thats red on white but I didnt choose that color its just what they had at the dealer at the time. Great boat and again congradulations.

I dont know if the CC has a very wide hull cap, but if it does be sure to get a light color. The cap on my skeeter is white with a blue stripe and even on extremely overcast days the white is cool and the blue is really hot. Plus, solid white boats with either black or blue pin stripping look awesome. Matching the pin stripping to the motor looks sweet too.

Congratulations on the new boat.

I think it's more of the "new boat smell" that scares off the fish. banana

I just had to do it. White seems to be a popular color.

"White scares fish"

If so, what color is a cloud?

If I ever buy another New Boat, solid white is the way to go.... I have black now and it is a full time job keeping it clean !

I've sold a lot of bass boats, and taken a lot of boats in on trade...

Here's the scoop.
If you're anal about keeping your boat clean, pollished and waxed, a black boat is a thing of beauty.

If you're not, it's the skankiest looking rig on the pond.
