Three couples are interested in hiring a guide to fish for crappie on Lake Of The Pines in February or March, 2012. If you have a barge that can be enclosed in case of bad weather please pm me. Thanks.

Fishing! Don't ya just luv it!

I would check with Chuck Rollins. He does LOP trips in the winter but not sure if he does 'em that late in the winter.

You really don't need a guide in February on LOP... Just launch and motor out to the other boats, it's that easy. In fact on some Saturdays you don't even need a boat. Just take your pole and walk across all the other boats until you find a spot you like. All kidding aside in February there will be about 150 boats on any given weekend in the area near the dam. You may need a guide in late March but not in January or February on LOP.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I am booking trips on LOP from now thru February. We caught 50 there last Friday. Last years trips on Pines went excellent. We had one trip where we brought in 100 crappie. We have multiple boats and can fish 6-8 people on our 24ft bay boats or we can run multiple boats and guides. Just let me know and we would love to help out.

Chuck Rollins and Bigcrappie.com can accomadate your large party at LOP. His boats are big and have plenty of room, not to mention he will put you on the fish!
