My son fished everstart you and your boater may live 1000 miles apart you meet at lake. The only time you fish with boater is prefish. They draw names for tournament everyday fish with someone new. This is what sinks you get their and short on boaters they put all none boaters name in hat. If your name don't come out you go home even if your boater is there. Happen to my son 2 times this year all the money for gas & room your just screwed.

So if your linked with a boater and they have to many non-boaters you still may not fish. To me that isn't right.

Thanks,

In FLW tournaments, when there are not enough boaters the co-anglers are bumped out of the tournament according to date and time of signup, so it is important to get signed up as soon as you can. Also - I don't know about this year, but FLW did not allow linking in the Everstart tournaments last year so that made it even more important to get signed up early. If you are fishing Everstart, call first thing in the morning on the first day you are eligible to signup, register for all four tournaments and send them your deposits and you will get in the tournament.

rp2987 is correct..... if there aren't enough pro entries, the last co-angler to register is bumped. Sometimes pros that actually paid their entry fee don't show up for one reason or another. It stinks that someone wouldn't show up. But, it happens.

FLW does not link pros and co-anglers. First entered, first in line. They will probably open registration around the second week of November.

If anyone has a question about FLW Everstarts and the entry process, feel free to email me. Been fishing them for several years now.

I signed up and got in for all four events . Looking forward to fishing the Texas Everstarts again. Last year I got to fish the Tour but this year they are spread to far apart and I wanted to stay closer to home. I get to travel with two of my buddies this year and it should be alot of fun. I can tell you that the tournament director Ron Lappin and his staff will make you feel like family. Tommy (Mr. Hag} I hope you will be able to join us on the Pines in October. Good luck to everyone and we will see you at Amistad very soon.

The Everstarts are in a whole 'nother class than the Weekend series which equates roughly to the BFL's which also offers linking for guaranteed entry. If you want in the Everstarts, sign up early for all 4 of them and you will get in.

519VX is correct. Ron Lappin and his staff put on an excellent tournament and will treat everyone like part of their family. I highly reccomend them.

Fishing co on the Ever Starts is a great way to up your game. You get 8 hours to put a limit together on water you have no say on most of the time. You get paired with multiple anglers in each event and meet some great folks. It's a great way to work your way to the front of the boat in the Ever Starts and about the only way to make it to the Tour as a co.
519VX above has made two FLW Cups through Co-Angling in the last two years. That's a huge honor.
Not all of your draws are great but most are and I have made friends for life through my first year of FLW as a co. For $400 entry you get to compete for a minimum of two days on some of Texas best lakes and have a chance to win a boat at every event. Some of these Pro anglers will work hard to get you on a limit.
+1 on Ron Lappin and staff. They are first class folks who work very hard on the road to see that your experience is the best.
Sign up for all 4 to secure your chances of getting in.
