What's your budget? I have 2 rods that I am willing to part with: 1. 12' Daiwa Emblem, line 15-30#, lure 3-6oz, in like-new, perfet condition. I paid $190 for it. I am asking $140. 2. 11' Tsunami Trophy Serie, line 20-40#, lure 4-6oz, also in like-new perfect condition. I paid #130 for it, and am willing to sell it for $90. I am willing to throw in a reel for free. I have few for you to choose if you buy the rod. Let me know. Thanks. I know this is not the trading post, but you guys have some nice gear... Looking to see if anyone is unloading any right now... Looking for a Rod and Reel combo or just a Rod 10 - 12 ft and can handle 6-10 oz weights.. Any help is appreciated.. Jim

planning to go to canada for musky and pike next year. anyone interested? Weather has been quite crazy this year, that day NOAA predicted 2-3's. Half way in it and we got beat up with 5-7's. The 26 foot catie had it's work cut out!

I plan to go to Montauk next year, around Sept, when the weather is not that cold. I have friends who go there fishing very regurally, and know that place like their own backyard. I need to buy new wading shoes with felt sole. The rocks there are very slippery. David, did you ever fish there yet? How bout a bank trip to the east coast for monster stripers? Got a buddy that way in NYC that should show us the ropes!

I went to the barge last Tuesday evening, not to fish, but to check fishing condition. Crappies start to move in, I saw a guy leaving with a string of crappies, not big, but decent. I may start fishing the barge soon.

No more hybrids. Went fishing this morning, over 3 hours, not a single bite. Caught those two ugly, ugly, ugly giant gizar shads. I am going crappie fishing at the barge next week instead.
