Your link isn't working but if it's the one im thinking of,you would be better off getting a net without the ring built into the net.

I bought one when I first learned to throw a net. I had a regular and I could not catch on. I watch the video a few times and It was easy to learn with. After a few trips I took the ring out because you can cast better without it once you learn

I looked into getting one of those when I first started trying to throw a net, and I heard the same thing as you are here. You are better off buying a good quality standard cast net.
I watched a lot of videos on YouTube on how to throw a regular net, and in about 2 hours in the back yard, I had it down.

It will do what they say it does but it doesn't sink well in deeper water. You will be much better off learning to throw a "real" net in the long run.
If you are not comfortable throwing a standard net and cannot figure it out on your own find someone who can throw and have them help you.
I have a twelve year old son that had never thrown a net before and it took me exactly fifteen minutes to have him throwing a perfect circle with a 7 foot 1.5 lb per radius foot net.

Get a standard net, and hang it up by the horn when you are not using it.This will train the net mesh to get bigger. If you leave it in a wod, that is how it will come out most of the time.
