Want to tie some Bonefish Bitters prior to going to Roatan in March 2012. The recipe that I have calls for E-Z Shape Body Sparkle to make the head, in lieu of epoxy or hot glue. Tried looking at the craft stores such as Hobby Lobby and Michaels without success. Does anyone know of a retailer in the Dallas area that carries this?
Thanks

I believe that is an Orvis product.
In this life there is fly fishing and tying...and then there is all that other stuff in between that doesn't matter.

I don't how close this is to the mark, but one of our TFFers, Casey Smartt, uses something called Aleene's Fabric Fusion

I bought some at the Orvis store about a decade ago. Not sure if they still carry it or not.
You might also look at one of the craft stores for something similar around the fabric paints. It seems like real similar to some of that stuff to me.

Yes, E-Z Shape Sparkle Body was an Orvis product. I bought a bunch of it after Charlie Cypert showed me how to use it in place of chenille on Cypert Mylar Minnows, but it appears they no longer offer it. At least it's not on their website.
I did a web search and found some at the TCO Fly Shop website, among others. It appears to be an Umpqua product.
I called TCO and they had a few remaining, which I bought. There may be other places that have a few left.

I use 3 dementional fabric paint from Hobby Lobby about 1.20 a bottle. For it works great.

Hobby Lobby also have some fabric glue that stay plyable and dries clear, they also have a pack of 18 or 24 tubes of different colors of glitter for $29 if you want to mix your own, they also have some little application bottles with a spout to put it in.
I am proud of our troops
