One brake light on my trailer works when the brake is pressed and works when the headlights are on but when I press the brake while the headlights are on it goes out. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Almost always a ground issue. Check the wires from the connector back then check the bulb fixtures themselfs. I had the trailer gremlins too and it was the wire being grounded to the frame through the little metal clip that had worn through the insulation.

It is with out a doubt a ground issue. Reconnect your ground and your problem is solved

Most of the time it is a bad ground. When you hook up your lights and test them, put your emergency flashers on. If there is a weak ground, the lights on trailer will not be in sequence with the towing vehicle.
