Thinking of getting a mr. heater, egg crate and propane tank for the deck of the boat. Looks like monticello would be aperfect morning to try it out.
Anyone found anything better then this set up?

I used a Mr Buddy heater last January when we had temps of 25 at take-off and ice like crazy. Call me a puss, but if I don't have to be cold, I'm not going to be.

Long Johns top/bottom, T-shirt, Sweatsuit, Wool Socks, insulated waterproof boots, Good set of Bibs and jacket, Sealskin gloves or seirus gloves and you will not be cold! Id recommend H20 bibs and jacket, they cannot be beat for the price!

find you the biggest weight lifting weight you can fit in the crate, and put it at the bottom under the tank.. less likely for it to fall over. strap it down when moving... you dont want to create a rocket that would take off at Mach 5 out of your boat! LOL!

I carried a Coleman propane heater in by boat during the winter for years.I don't like fishing with gloves on and they are great for keeping the hands and feet warm. You have to be careful though, I had a set of nylon ski bibs on one day and got my leg too close to the heater and melted the bibs. When nylon ski bibs get hot is is like shrink wrap and the hot plastic sucked up against my leg.

Mr buddy is the ticket, I just turn off while running and back on when done. That and my BPS rain gear. Plus little hand warmers in your pockets. Toasty without probs
