I'm thinking about putting together a small aluminum rig for fishing local creeks close to the house. I noticed that BassProShops sells a Briggs and Stratton 5 h.p. outboard for around $600. 5 h.p. is probably big enough. Does anyone out there own one of these little outboards? Are they reliable and can you get replacement parts for them? Thanks,
Kenny

Ranger335,

They are very dependable little motors. It is a vertical shaft, 4 stroke lawn mower engine mounted on top of a lower unit and tower. You can get parts anywhere.
