And to think that all I used was an Ambassadeur 5000 reel ($30 at the time), 5 1/2 ft fiberglass rod ($20), with 12-14 lb line ($5), a box of Wheaties ($2.50) mixed with a Big Red soda ($0.50), a few #8 treble hooks ($1.50) and some 1/8 to 1/2 oz egg sinkers ($1.00)... About $60 worth of stuff and we caught carp till our arms hurt. Worked for me.

Cost of way over extreme bass fishing compared to your over extreme list of un-neccisary carp equiptment. $45,000 300HP top of the line boat, $70,000 dollar Hummer to pull boat (matching color scheem), a beautiful wife(way hotter than I myself could have possibly attracted sitting on the bank carp fishing) half naked sun bathing on the back of my sweet toy. PRICELESS LOL fish hard guys
I love jet skiers especially when I have a real heavy rattle trap on.

I have more than that invested, and love every bit of my pro gear, but time and time again lately I find myself grabbing an ultralight and a can of corn. For Carp you really don't need top of the line equipment. However probably the 2 most important things that would make any Carp fishermen increase their odds is a pole long enough to cast very far distances and a bait runner reel.

I disagree....somewhat....I am quite sure that with out most of that listed gear a 72 hour session on a unfimaler lake would be out of the question...you fishing the ATC or WCC munsie?

I wonder how many will line the St. Lawrence with a 5 1/2 foot rod, a can of corn, and a box of Wheaties......while vieing for 1.25 milllllllliooon$$$$$$$$$$$$.
Good luck LSC. I hope to fish with ya, one of these days. I missed the opportunity at the Lavon thing.

Ok Arlington Angler, I think we're all in agreement that we're going to need pics before we believe that sun-bathing thing... Be sure we can see the HP rating on the motor... or not. LOL --Casey
