Motor was running alittle rough, so I took it to the repair shop. Replaced a couple of things....350.00 later guy tells me the motor runs great! Get to lake... runs worse than when I took it in. Took back to repair shop and "fixes" couple of other things for 195.00. Take back to lake and unbelievably the motor runs even worse!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really want a refund for the whole deal. We are replacing a number of different parts, but we have never fixed the initial problem that I reported to the mechanic.
Do these guys normally give refunds? I cetainly think that I am entitled to some sort of relief. What do you guys think? Any advise is appreciated.

Forgot to mention, but I am looking for boat motor repair. Is there anyone good in the Eagle Mountain Lake area? At this point though, I really don't have any cash for the repair. Any good references would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Did this mechanic's name start with an "A"?

Some one asked if his name started with an "A". I was wondering if that was A as in A..... hole?
Got boat back today, but won't be able to give it a go until next week. Mechanic assured me that it is runnin like a scalded ape... we'll see...
I still feel like I got corn-holed on the deal. I am still looking for a good mechanic around Eagle Mountian Lake. Qualities would be honest and reasonable on the price. Any referrals appreciated.

I had a similar experience last year with a mechanic here on CC Lake. Needless to say, I dont use him anymore. I doubt you'll get any kind of money back. I have heard good things about North Tx fiberglass. Try them next time you need something.

Mark Gunter is on Jacksboro Hwy. He's the one I use. Gunter Marine about 2 miles inside the loop on the right. Just past River Oaks.
