I have a motor guide trolling motor and it hasn't been working for the past few weeks and I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. Connection is good and I've charges the batteries and they are good. What else could it be?

more info..
foot control--hand control
what does "hasn't been working" really mean..
did it work and for no reason quit
have you changed anything

no prop turn, or does it turn (jump) when you hit the on switch,ect...

It's a foot control...and I mean it has been doing absolutely nothing. It won't even kick on. No prop turn or anything. Yeah pretty much I guess you could say no reason. It was working perfectly fine and then one day I took the prop off because it had some line wrapped around it and I lost the pin. But I replaced it the next day and it hasn't worked since.

you say the connection is good..where is it good..
at the battery or have you made sure you are getting power at the TM.
seems somewhere in the repair something changed..
a wire came loose, tripped a breaker,
I don't think it is going to be the TM..unless for some reason the foot switch blew..

I've removed the panel at the front and everything seems to be in place and its connected at the battery so it is getting power I'm just not sure what could've changed while taking the prop blade off and putting in a new pin. I understand what youre saying though and ill go back and double Check to make sure everything is in place but as far as I can see (and I'm no mechanic by any means) it doesn't seem to be connection

not being a smart A.. but you really can't tell anything by looking..
you need to check to see where you have current..this gauge is easy to use and will tell you where you have current..

It must be the circuit breaker if it stopped suddenly.

Could be several culprits. Ya definitely need a multimeter to check for appropriate voltage. It's not uncommon for voltage to travel directly to a terminal but not beyond simply because of a connection issue that you may not see with your own eyes. My little switch on the foot pedal has been replace a time or two and I could actually only verify it with a meter. Another common issue is a faulty ground somewhere in the circuit.

Had the same thing happen a few years ago. It was the breaker. I would check it 1st.
