Has anyone ever used this product? I saw it a while back when researching tournament live wells

I dont know about the product but (Youtube/akwalung - Steve Douglas) sure knows how to catch some monster cats!

I had one that I gave to Chase since I do not fish many tournaments. It is a good product to be added to a LARGE livewell.

Yes I read that sight cathog you have any pics of how you had it set up? Also did you have any problems with the filters stopping up

No problems with the filters stopping up, just clean them with non chlorinated water after each use. I dont have any pics, but Chase might have some.

I had problems with mine. What you need is a oxygen tank a oxygen regulator a oxygen flow meter and a flex a air stone if your interested let me know I can give you the website and product numbers for what you need. I fish tournaments and this the best system out there this setup will cost you about 300 bucks.

What "problems" did you have with the akwalung? Yours is the first negative comment I've heard on it.

The couple people I have talked to said it was a good unit just needed to make sure and clean the filter after each tournament.Parttime do you use this on your live well?

No but I want to add it. That is why I asked what problem he had. I have not heard one complaint about it until now.

I have been running a truck box with arator and a bilge pump to fill it and change water would be nice to not have to worrie bout it anymore lol

I had problems keeping fish alive. Was having problem getting oxygen so I talk to some other guys having problems and there where putting the oxygen infuser close to the water line in the livewell and running a hose to from the infuser to the outside of the livewell so it well suck more air this help but I had to change the water like every hour in tournaments always getting clog up just got tired of messing with it. So I talk to another guy that fishes tournaments and he was running the pure oxygen also has a fish farm and transports live fish all time with the pure oxygen so I switch to pure oxygen system and nothing but good results with it. Not trying make anybody upset but I would go the pure oxygen way and not think twice about it

I was getting very little oxygen in my water tried a 1200 gph bilge pump help a little then talk to some other guy they where putting their infuser close to the water line in the live well and running a hose from infuser to the outside of live well so it will suck more air an I return get more oxygen and this help but I still had problems keeping fish alive that's when ran into a guy that use the pure oxygen system for tournaments and he told me that's the way to go is pure oxygen and he was right my fish are so lively u can't hardly hold them. And he keep like 220lbs of fish in tournament on the ohio river last sept it like 100 degrees out using the pure oxygen and that's when I switched

Ya, what coon said, what is the cost of the pure oxygen setup compared to the akwa lung? Even with pure oxygen it seems you would still want to filter the water. I'm not set on one system, I just want to find the best system at the best price.
