Anyone know of a decent bait shop out towards Volente on Lake Travis? I'm meeting my buddies up at Sandy Creek park for a couple of days of camping and fishing.
Thanks

Only one I know of in that vicinity is Winkleys at 1431 and 183. Minnows only, I beleive.
You can also get baits at Ace/Jensens at Parmer and Mopac. Practically any live bait.

I think your best bet would be to hit the Academy or Wally World on the way out there. There is not a whole lot out that way. Good Luck! JR

Highland Lakes Tackle off of 1431 east of I-35 is the best in the just north-of-Austin area. http://www.highlandlakestackle.com/ It's near Travis, but it's not as close to where you're hoping, probably...

There is a new tackle store opening up just outside of Pace Bend Park. I think the grand opening is the 4th of July weekend. Now if i can just recall the name??? Sucks gettin old!!!! Wayne Harm is the proprietor if that helps.
Gotta love stupid bass....there the only ones I can catch! Have not found many stupid ones this year!!
