Bass champs, your trail never ceases to amaze me.

Thanks for doing the surveys BassChamps. Giving the customer feedback goes a long way.

Lakes suck....

Heres a suggestion, don't poll the TFF!! I'd venture to say that out of the 1500 or so completed surveys that maybe 35 to 40% of these were done by people who fish your trail. The others by some random Joe who was bored and thought hey what the heck I might win a reel, or by someones spouse or co worker. Contact your customers and let there voice be heard they are the ones keeping you in business. You guys run a awesome trail and I'm thankful we have you.

I do like the fact of just polling people that have fished your circuit that have knowledge of Bass Champs and what it is about instead of every Tom Dick and Harry that own a fishing pole much less a boat

Bass Champs is/has been one of the top weekend tournament circuits ever put on in this area. I say this as a tournament fisherman of over 25 years residence in Texas. I have fished them all at one time or another.

I do think the polling is awesome and a giant step forward for an already successful organization.

However; I hasten to say that the results of both polls herein will very likely be skewed and vastly unrepresentative of the actual opinions of only BASS CHAMPS fishermen (by non-BASS CHAMPS members, non-tournament anglers, and others that frequent this forum).

Keep up the good work. I will be there either way you do it.

PS - It would be absolutely awesome to see the actual results of a poll directed at, and returned by, actual BASS CHAMPS fishermen!

i fish alot of trails, ultimatly the 80% of the teams that never or least likley to get a check want deeper payouts, and the guys on top want more money at the top, it just sucks nowdays if u finish 5,6,7th place and get a hundred bucks,( not complaining)1st gets 2k, heck u can make as much fishing local working mans for alot less entry fee and distance, less hours of fishing. no matter how u do it not everybody will be happy,just my 2cents

IMO if a payout doesn't even lift the hair off the dawg, then that same money is better directed toward a higher payout for second place. Big diff btwn 1st at $20k when 2nd place only gets 3k. I don't think deeper payouts are a major sustainer to getting more entries. This would be another interesting poll.

Here is a payout example I submitted. Gives a little more to the top and each place except the last two get different amounts.

I wish I had copied and pasted mine. 15k first and only pay 20 places deep. A great payout for top 10 especially top 5.

Last check was 500.

To clarify, the poll questions that we ask in the beginning of the survey regarding whether or not you compete in Bass Champs allows us to filter the results between anglers who do and do not compete in our events. The results that are posted are only from those anglers that stated they competed in Bass Champs events or they plan to next season.

Ironically though, there is only a 1-2% difference in the results between anglers that are Bass Champs anglers and those that are not.

I don't fish that circuit, so I didn't take the poll, but I'll throw in my $.02 worth here in the thread.

Payback 1 place for every 10 entries
Top load the payout to 1st and 2nd
Last place should pay approximately double the entry fee (adjust the number of places paid if needed to accomplish this)

I cut it to 16 places and moved money from 16th-25th back up the ladder to 2-12th. Thanks to BassChamps for listening to their customers. Now we will be able to see what the majority of anglers are looking for and hopefully tailor the payout to reflect it. I'll be interested to see the results.

Only pays 16 places, but you're at least going to pay for your gas and entry fee if you get a check. 2-5th is stout and I kept the $20,000 for first.
