Anybody ever made any of these out of PVC or other material. Thinking about making some for my flat bottom so I don't have rods laying all over the boat floor. I know I can buy some, but I like to build my own stuff. Please post any pics if you have them.

I built these for my boat. Pretty simple design. You could use u bolts and angle iron. I built some out of PVC for bank fishing but I don't have a pic

My neighbor and I (slugbug) were talking about this just yesterday and he came up with this...very simple.

PVC works well if you want some for trolling and to keep rods off the floor.Take two treated 1x1's or larger if you pefer and mount the PVC with screws if you take your time to line up the holes they look good to.If you have a heat gun you can take the small end of a coke bottle and flare the end of the PVC too.made some years ago so I do not have any pics.

Thanks for the replies and the photos. I know it won't be hard to build these, I just wanted to check out some of y'alls designs first. I'm interested in how you flare that PVC, I might try that.

I've been in Mel's boat and I did study his design for later use.
