I just bought a used bat, and needless to say there is a rats's nest of wiring under the console. switches bypassed and such. Does anyone know where I can get a 1989 Bass Tracker wiring diagram to see original specs for swiches and guages?

I'd contact the Tracker factory. Have your HIN handy.

I had the same problem on a used boat I just bought. The easiest thing for me to do was just to wire circuits that dind't work from scratch. For example, the aerator and recirc for the livewells were messed up somehow. With all the wiring, it was easier for me to replace the switch timer and dial rather than figure out which component wasn't working.

by running a few new wires, you should be able to get any switch, pump, gauge etc. working on the boat.

Rewiring is not that big of a job. It is time comsuming though. Just remember all boats have a color code for the wiring. There many be a few variances but basicly the same. Red is Battery +, black is battery -, purple is ingnition, blue is dash lights, brown(some with stripes) is pumps and grey is the running lights. These are the wires that are part of the boat wiring. Then you have the wires from the wiring harness from the motor. There are a few more colors but are not hooked to the boat wiring. If I can be of help let me know.
