Wanting to get a feel for how everyone else is doing at gibbons. I want to know if Im doing something wrong, for me it has been spotty. I was catching bigger fish two weeks ago, now smaller fish and in less numbers. I am fishing 2-8 feet of water, mostly on Cbs, flukes, and TR worms. Any report appreciated.

It will pick up when the water temps drop a few more degrees!

Sunday was decent for me. My biggest was 6# and what was interesting about this fish was there was fishing line coming out of its vent. I pulled about 3 more inches out and the line is attached to a bait in its stomach. I caught about 15 total and it was nice having the lake almost to myself. Only half a dozen boats on the water, only 3 of us stayed after it started raining. Water temp was 72 on the surface.

Pretty slow for any bass over 2 or 3 pounds.

Went back out this afternoon for a couple hours and I happily stand corrected......my biggest bass today went 5 and 1/4lbs.

Nice carp, they will fool you at first. I went out Sunday afternoon. Lots of shad coming up as it was getting close to dark. I watched a few 3 pounders come completely out of the water eating them.

Did ya'll watch the FLW College Fishing Regional Tournament on TV this weekend. It was at Lake Somerville. They caught some huge fish and SFA had a 26lb bag on the final day. The tournament was held back in mid Oct.

You might check on Somerville before you go, Rocky Creek is abaout the only ramp working, and they closed Sunday 27th until Dec 5th for a deer hunt, so the ramp is not available till then
