I'm surrised, there were a lot of replys but not one mention of the old standbys. I grew up fishing grandpa, dad and a slue of uncles, all of witch belived that to have good luck fishing you need to eat fish while fishing. Now that I am considerably older I relise that it had more to do with ease of transport than luck, but now i'm to set in my ways to change and have added to the list. caned sardines crackers How for the new addition. tuna in the pouch smoked orsters in a can These items are great because they can be piched in a back pack for bank or boat and when you get home the pack can be stored in a the food cubard. I also added. nuts, dryed fuirt and anything that will not spoil in the heat. this same pack is also used during hunting seanson. The only thing it is never without is the sardines and crackers. THANKS GRANDPA!

Last time I went out I took plenty of DP and water and a canister of Pringles Sour Cream & Onion potato chips. That did me just fine for the whole day. I prefer to take stuff that doesn't need preparation. Just open and eat.

For rough water, bananas are great....they taste about the same coming up as they did going down. I usually stick with more or less dry foods. Saltines with ham, granola bars, honey roasted peanuts, etc. and Always plenty of gatorade and water. I tried tuna fish once, but when my sandwich smelled like my bait, I decided that I wasn't all that hungry anymore.

I eat caviar for the first course. I follow that with a Caesar salad. Then I take my main course, usually a trouser trout sandwich followed by vanilla pudding and whiskey.

After reading all the stuff you guys are eating, I think ya'll need to go get a cholesterol check !! Besides Dr. Phil doesn't approve of 95 % of the stuff ya'll are all eating.... Here's what I eat..for breakfast(at home), I have a bowl of oatmeal, with raisins, walnuts, and skim milk. On the boat,I bring, power bars, oatmeal breakfast bars, beef jerky and plenty of water..

what ever happen to the old lake special: potted meat, vienna, maybe some red rind cheese and liver worth and crackers and a strong cold Dr. pepper to get a good loud, long burp.

I eat as little as possible while out on the water.
Elst I stir up the hornets in my bowels and end up having to set the 'mudsharks' free at the most in-opportune time.
Beyond that, an ice cold Dr. Pepper and peanut butter crackers will take me to the house every time.

I hate to seem like a billboard, but BPS has some excellent beef jerkey, but most of all, their Buffalo meat chunks with added beef....Umm Mmmm good, and low in fat. That, possible some cheese crackers, 6ix pack of water and a couple if Diet Rites will do it for me.

I take the twelve pack of fried chicken--(legs & thighs), a few soda's, several bottles of Ozarka water, and a pot of coffee. I drink more coffee than anything else. I might grab a piece of chicken to eat when I move from one spot to another, but most of the time I am to busy fishing to eat. I think in a twelve hour trip I'll eat around three pieces of chicken if that.
