 Mercury Ignition Switch

Im looking for an ignition switch for an older ranger bass boat. Its a three position push to choke keyed switch, used to start my 150hp Merc.
The switch in the boat has ten (10) wires coming out of the back. (Only nine are being used) Ranger says its a Mercury product and the only Mercury switches I can find only have six (6) wires. Can anyone tell me where I can get the original switch or if the 6 wire one will work. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
