Had a baby brush hog Texas rigged with a small purple or red grub on the hook with the lure and the bass just attack it. Kinda early to be drinkin' aint it? Hahaha

He isn't a troll, looking at his previous posts he is brand new to bassfishing. He was thinking out of the box on that one. You never know it could be the next big thing now if we can just get him to post a pic.

You know a long time ago there was a spinner bait looking bait that had a body sort of like a brush hog, it had two big curly tail arms and one big curly tail. That use to be my fav bait. Sorry but that made me think of that.
Clever to try new things.

They have a picture of the rig he is talking about in an old bassmaster magazine in the reader's tips section. If I can find it I'll post a picture.
They make plenty of worms now with extra appendages if that's what you're looking for.

I think you rig the head of the bait to the eye of the hook and before you finish the t rig you add the grub to lay on the bend of the hook then insert the hook back into the t rigged bait. Almost like a weighted hook but the grub is the weight. Yeah I'm a troll... Not really. Anyways ^^ this guy understood it vill post a pic in a minute when I get it rigged up. I had success by casting it out, letting the ripples dissapear then raise my rod up to 12 o clock then lower it back down and reel in the slack... Then repeat.

There's a new method out called "dead-sticking" that might work with that rig too. Just cast it out and let it sit for as long as you can stand it. Fish go crazy.

Ok well I don't know how to add a picture on an iPhone. So I'll try to explain it again. 1. Hook your lure as if you were gonna Texas rig it then thread it up to the eye of the hook. 2. Put your inch and half red or purple grub's nose on the hook and thread it on as much as you can then poke the hook through so the tail points down. 3. Now grab the first lure you put on and hook it how you would Texas rig it and that's it.
When I did it I used a baby brush hog that was a dark green ( you can use which ever colors you prefer for both the grub and brush hog) and I hooked it on to a 3/0 gamakatsu weighted off set worm hook ( doubt that is the proper name). You can use a un-weighted hook too, but I like the weighted cause my lure swims better and doesn't twist. If you have any questions just ask and I'll do my best to answer them.

I kinda do that when I fish this rig. I'll cast out, let it sit for a bit then lift the rod, reel up the slack and then repeat the process. I'm gonna experiment more today when I head out.

One of my pet peeves is bad grammar and bad spelling to the point that you can't understand what the writer is saying. I'm not asking for us all to be Ernest Hemmingway's but for crying out loud, look over what you wrote and use your spell check! Thanks I feel better now.

Is this a pond or lake your testing this in? I'm only asking because I've seen bass caught in a pond with a tiny piece trick worm about an inch and a 4/0 hook.
