For those of you suffering from Fishing Elbow, allow me to offer my services to any and all. While you are taking some time off for rest, I will be more than willing to go fishing with you, cast for you , even reel the fish in for you. Your boat, your spots, just let me know when and I'll be ready to go and assist you.

No,man. This "Dr.",you are referencing, ain't no M.D. He's a Chiropractor. They always like to be called "Dr." I'll take my chances with the standard M.D. advice of rest and ice. I hope the OP does.

Man, I had never heard of this elbow problem... but I know earlier this year my elbow hurt for like 2 weeks after a bunch of fishing... just didn't tie the two together... can I just do some preventative maintenance, because no fishing is not an option

yea but when it's been proven to work and fix, not hide the problem who cares? Also contrary to popular belief doctors don't know everything, that's why it's called a "practice". And besides what is doing ultra light weight lifting gonna hurt? God forbid someone actually get into excersicing and become healthy for once. Ask any powerlifter/competitive weightlifter a chiro is more trusted to fix their ailments then any doctor. Their advice to any back problem is to rest yet I know quiet a few guys that keep doing 500 lbs squats and actually feel better then when they just rest.

I've dealt with this a lot. My profession is auto mechanic(teach it now), plus i play softball. When my son was in baseball I was pitching to him everynight.

Plenty of rest. It takes FOREVER to heal this so you have to give it time. I can tell you this tho, I healed mine as I played softball (probably why it took so long). I just tried to spare my arm whenever I could.

FZ1 don't need to work out. Women love me and fish fear me,so what else matters? I just did't think the op should treat an "overuse injury" with more "overuse".

He says it isn't completely gone. He said he still has some pain every now and then if he over works it but the pain doesn't last long. He said it is about 90-95 percent better than before.

He also wanted me to point out that the procedure isn't a pleasant experience. He actually said it hurts like hell but was definitely worth it. He had to have it done twice, some people only need it once.

We all stumble and make mistakes. When you stumble, do you want your brother to help knock you down or to help set you back on your feet?

I know Stephen Brownin and Edwin Evers had this done and claim it as a miracle. Matt Reed had it done yesterday and said there was very little to no pain to the procedure. Here is Browning's story:
