if got a 16' skeeterwith a 800gph. but you have to flip a switch to work it. what i was thinking is add a float pump in there with. to help get the water out faster. any comments?

well if you want faster you go to a bigger pump or install a automatic bilge that when the water level gets to a certain point it will automatically come on so you dont have to keep checking it but if your taking a lot of water on where you have to use your bilge a lot you may want to look to see where its coming from

You should already have a Float Switch in there. If it's not working you need to replace it. If there is not one in there, you can add a Float Switch inline to your existing Bilge Pump. With it in there, you will be able to still turn it on with your manual switch.
You may have one there, but it could be stuck with some debris.

You can add just the float switch. Also, you can add a pump with built-in float switch.

No drills...use high speed dremels. They get up around 3-4,000 rpm's. Start with a small bit and gradually go up the scale until you get the hole size you want.
