I had some trouble cranking my motor twice today. It's an 04 225optimax. It seemed like it froze up when I went to crank it up. The control panel was dead and the trim was not working. I checked the battery connections and flipped the breaker. It finally cranked after freezing(sounded like the starter hanging up) and flipping the breaker a couple of times. I got on plane and it did it again. Everything was dead but it cranked right back up. MY plan is to check and clean all the connections. I believe I have a short somewhere, the inline breaker is going bad, or a bad ground. Does this sound right? Anyone every had this problem. My mechanic is coaching football this weekend so I'm going at this on my own for now.

The other thing I forgot to mention is that I have a ranger with push button start. It dawned on me that the key pad could be messing up.

The breaker is the first thing you change when having touch pad issues. Check and clean all plug connectors for both touch pads. Yes the bow pad connections can cause the accessories not to get power at the console. Reset the touch pad control module.
